My New Camera: FZ2500

Dang. So I sold a lot of my equipment, as planned, but then I didn't have an event/sports lens for my EOS M50 mirrorless best camera ever, like for events you need a lens around 20-200, so you can get action and dais, a decent compromise lens  would have cost as much as a camera with that capability, so that's what I should have bought, but then dazzled by the video features for the price which was not much extra I ended up with a Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 which I now have to pay for, so for a time at least I'm back making commercial and wedding videos also using the FZ2500. Which I don't (yet) love. But lots of project that it will be better for than the EOS M50, which I do love. So it goes.

Everything is Changing

Well, not everything. Video seems to have split into two streams. On one hand, there's the S/Vlogn, 4K, 8K, 12 bit, 4:4:4 colorspace school. It's not, but let's call it traditional. On the other hand, really, there's YouTube. IPhones, mobility and 8 bit. Just looking back and analysing the videos I've made, there hasn't been a lot of scripted acted or commercial stuff. It's mainly been about us. So, accepting reality, at this stage I'm basically getting out of the traditional commercial and cinema style filmmaking. Selling a lot of my production equipment. Going light. Going with YouTube.Focusing on travel style videos, which I've been making a lot of, like the above. And of course, since it's YouTube, you can subscribe.
